Chris JohnstonChristopher Johnston is Client Manager at MCE Public Relations Ltd.  Chris is responsible for overseeing the communication and media needs of clients across a range of sectors. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers Managing Consultancy Services working in a number of business units including marketing and human resources consultancy before working in Washington DC first as an associate with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and then, for a period of two years, with the Washington-Ireland Ireland Programme for Service and Leadership.

He has five years experience working in a communications role for public and
private organisations. In 2003 he worked at Stakeholder Communications before joining the University of Ulster Department for Public Affairs from 2003-2006 and was responsible for managing the interface between the University and the wider community particular in relation to student anti-social behaviour in South Belfast.

He is the President of the University of Ulster Alumni executive committee and a committee member of the Northern Ireland branch of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. He has studied at the Ulster Business School at the University of Ulster, Montana State University Business School (MSU), USA and Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. On a voluntary basis, Chris is the current chairperson (and co-founder) of a UK children’s charity the Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES) which aims to promote the social inclusion of children aged 11-14 years old from diverse ethnic, religious, educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
